Debra Dean-Ciriani was bom in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, USA, has a diploma in music from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, studied at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City and has a Masters of Music degree from the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut. She won many vocal competitions including the San Francisco Opera, Baltimore Opera and was twice a finalist in the Metropolitan Opera competition in New York. Debra Dean-Ciriani lived and worked in Germany for 2 1/2 years where she sang oratorio and opera with many theaters, and she lived in New York City for more than l5years and sang in regional theaters across the USA. Roles she has sung include Mimi and Musetta in La Bohème, Violetta in La Traviata, the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Nedda in Pagliacci, and many more. She has also sung many performances of American musical theater music and operetta both in the USA and in Italy. She now resides with her husband, Giovanni, and daughter, Anna, in Solighetto, Italy.
