la giuria dell'11. Mostra Internazionale di Architettura
è così composta: Paola Antonelli
(Italia), curatore del dipartimento di Architettura e Design del Museum of Modern Art (Moma) di New York; Max Hollein
(Austria), direttore del Städelsches Kunstinstitut e del Schirn Kunsthalle di Francoforte; Jeffrey
Kipnis (Usa), critico e docente
all’Università dell’Ohio; Farshid
Moussavi (Iran), fondatrice del Foreign
Office Architecture di Londra, docente all’Harvard University Graduate School
of Design; Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi
(Italia), critico, storico e docente, specializzato in pianificazione
urbanistica, insegna Storia dell’architettura contemporanea
all’Università di Roma La Sapienza.
On the proposal of
Director Aaron Betsky, the Jury of the 11th
International Architecture Exhibition is formed as follows: Paola Antonelli (Italy), curator of the department of
Architecture and Design at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
in New York; Max Hollein (Austria), director of the
Städelsches Kunstinstitut
and of the Schirn Kunsthalle
in Frankfurt; Jeffrey Kipnis (USA), critic and
lecturer at the University of Ohio; Farshid Moussavi (Iran), founder of Foreign Office Architecture
in London and lecturer at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design;
and Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi (Italy), critic,
historian and lecturer, specialising in urban planning, and professor in the
History of contemporary architecture at the Università
"La Sapienza", Rome.
Wim Wenders: Presidente di
Giuria / Jury President
Nella riunione del 27 giugno, il Cda della Biennale
di Venezia, accogliendo la proposta del Direttore della Mostra Marco Müller, ha deciso che il regista tedesco Wim Wenders sarà il
presidente della Giuria Internazionale del concorso della
65. Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica (27 agosto – 6
settembre 2008). Wenders, uno dei più grandi
cineasti della sua generazione, vinse a Venezia nel 1982 il Leone d’oro
con Lo stato delle cose (Der Stand der Dinge).
On June 27th, the Venice Biennale Board accepted the proposal of
Director Marco Müller, and appointed the
German director Wim Wenders
as president of the International Jury for the competition of the 65th Venice
Film Festival (August 27th - September 6th). Wenders,
one of the greatest filmmakers of his generation, won the Golden Lion in 1982
with The State of Things (Der Stand der Dinge).

Festival
Si è chiuso il 29 giugno il 6. Festival Internazionale di Danza
Contemporanea, Beauty, diretto da Ismael Ivo. Successo di spettatori per questa edizione: in migliaia hanno affollato per circa due
settimane, dal 14 al 29 giugno, gli spazi dell’Arsenale (Corderie,
Teatro Piccolo, Teatro alle Tese e Teatro alle Vergini) e lo storico Teatro Malibran di Venezia.
The Venice
Biennale's 6th International Festival of Contemporary Dance - Beauty, came to
an end on June 29th. The festival, directed by Ismael
Ivo, was definitely successful: from June 14th to
29th, the Arsenale venues (Corderie,
Teatro Piccolo, Teatro alle Tese and Teatro alle Vergini)
and the historic Teatro Malibran
in Venice were
crowded with the largest audience in recent editions.
European Network of Performing Arts
Il progetto Enparts riunisce cinque istituzioni europee (Dance Umbrella, Musicadhoy, Musik der Jahrhunderte, Berliner Festspiele - spielzeit'europa, e Bitef)
coordinate dalla Biennale di Venezia. Il progetto, di durata quinquennale, ha
preso avvio nel 2008 con il coordinamento artistico di Maurizio Scaparro. Tre coproduzioni di danza musica e teatro vengono presentate quest'anno
nei festival dei coorganizzatori per avere, dopo la
prima assoluta, una circuitazione europea.
The Enparts project brings
five European institutions together (Dance Umbrella, Musicadhoy,
Musik der Jahrhunderte, Berliner Festspiele
- spielzeit'europa, and Bitef)
coordinated by the Venice
Biennale. This is a five-year project that kicked off in 2008 with the
artistic coordination of Maurizio Scaparro. Three
co-productions of dance, music, and theatre are to be presented this year in
the festivals of co-organizers and will later tour Europe
after their premiere.
