Feature-Length Documentary Chronicles The Making Of
The Beatles’ ‘LOVE’ by Cirque du Soleil.
On June 24, 2008 Apple Corps Ltd./Cirque
du Soleil Images will
release the feature-length documentary ‘All Together Now’ on DVD,
which will be marketed and distributed worldwide by EMI Music.
The film details the story behind the unique
partnership between The Beatles and Cirque du Soleil that resulted in the creation and launch of
“LOVE," the stage production still wowing audiences in Las Vegas,
and the double Grammy-winning album of the same name. The film is dedicated
to the memory of Neil Aspinall, an Executive Producer.
The DVD’s total running time is 122 minutes,
including the 84-minute documentary film and bonus features. The film and
extras are presented in DTS & Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and Dolby
Digital Stereo.
‘All Together Now’ faithfully recounts
how the “LOVE” project came into being, borne from the personal
friendship between George Harrison and Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte.
George saw how the twin talents of Cirque’s artistry and The
Beatles’ music could be fused into something new and totally original.

Firenze - Per la prima volta nel corso di settantuno edizioni, il rock, il
blues ma anche la musica elettronica e il metal entrano a far parte del Maggio
Musicale Fiorentino all'interno della rassegna Maggio Off che inaugura
così uno spazio dedicato a tutte le garage band
giovanili.
Maggio Off, che quest'anno vanta la presenza di
quattro stelle del jazz e della world music come Diamanda
Galàs, Meredith Monk, Martirio e Värttinä,
vuole dare un forte segno di innovazione e di apertura alla cultura musicale
più recente con un nuovo appuntamento: il Maggio Off Music Contest.
Concorso aperto a gruppi o singoli musicisti di età compresa tra 18 e 30
anni
, Maggio Off Music Contest vedrà gareggiare giovedì 12 giugno, al
Piccolo Teatro del Comunale, a partire dalle ore 18, quindici artisti o band preselezionati da una commissione di esperti tra tutti i
materiali pervenuti. In palio un concerto che si terrà nel Maggio Musicale 2009.

Trovo molto interessante questa
cantante Americana che vive a Parigi.
In lei si possono trovare influssi flolk
americani e jazz ma la poesia dei suoi testi e le atmosfere rarefatte delle sue canzoni
sono soltanto sue. E’ da tempo che non sentivo qualcosa che mi piacesse,
in un periodo in cui il rap e la musica oscena che ci
viene propinata mane e sera ci ha quasi abituato a chiudere la mente quando le
nostre orecchie percepiscono qualcosa di ostico, addirittura peggiore direi
della musica classica contemporanea. Ecco nella semplicità raffinata di
queste canzoni ritrovo la gioia di ascoltare. Quando poi mettete insieme una piccola
chiesa di montagna, la Signora
della neve e una candela beh allora il gioco è fatto. Birdpaula ci hai fregati tutti.
